Epicenter twenty ten. We were in no way prepared for the sweltering heat and massive crowds. Escaping the horrendous triple digit heat was nearly impossible but it was only a small price to experience a once in a life time event. Everyone who attended will agree that is was surely nothing but EPIC. Southern California is currently in the middle of a rare and brutal heat wave that resembles temperatures that you find only in Phoenix. Despite the heat and comfort levels, 50,000 music fans all made it out, making Fontana more notable than just a auto speedway. The epic line-up triumphed all with some of music’s most influential and renowned names in rock, hip hop, and alternative music. The two days were dominated by live acts such as: Eminem, KISS, Rise Against, 30 Seconds To Mars, Bush, and Blink 182.
Every act had put on stellar performance but Bush was a really great show that stood out in our minds. Nearly a decade later, platinum selling Bush returned to put on their first live show at Epicenter 2010. While only two of the original members are still in the lineup, it was the same sound that we all knew and love. Gavin, who damn sure isn’t looking his age, started their set with one of my favorite tracks, Machinehead. I personally have never experience anything like it, Gavin left the stage to walk along the edge of the barricade, reaching out to fans to get up-close and personal.
Eminem, who is arguably one of hip-hop’s dopest MC’s. With his only California show of the year, his headlining performance which included Detroit rap group D-12, by far drew the biggest fan base ranging from young teens to 40 year olds. Another performing act that we could simply not miss and it was nothing short of AMAZING.

Special thanks to Aaron, Marcee, Kristine for making it possible for us to attend. We’ll see you there next year hopefully in more forgiving climate!
