Ohh La La Festival was by far one of the most enjoyable events that we’ve been to, the EL Rey theatre is as classy and memorable as the performances . It’s rare that we get a glipse at so many foreign artists under one roof.

Acid Wash’s live performance with electronic synths and drum pads made for a very enjoyable set. This type of performance can only be put in the category of the likes of Soul Wax and Chromeo with slow beats that pulse with the rythmic tempo of a very 808′s inspired sound.

Sebastian Tellier had a great performance as well, he opened with one of his most popular songs, “Divine” which had the crowd dancing and swingin’. I must say, I was a bit disappointed he didn’t play Kilometer or have his baby grand from his last performance in LA last year, however a slow beat with a guitar solo is just as awesome. His voice was definitely on point.

Kavinsky is by far one of the most dynamic DJ’s I’ve seen to date, his set ranged from Dub Step flowing seemlessly into House music and even throwing in some Hip-Hop in the end. He definitely surprised the hell out of me. BTW, any DJ that can throw in Justice’s “Stress” without any problem gets props from me.
