DJ Tiesto wrapped up his College Invasion Tour in an awe-inspiring style at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles with Porter Robinson, Dada Life and Diplo. With supporting DJs who normally headline sold-out shows themselves, clearly helped draw in additional people to fill the venue’s 26k+ capacity.

As EDM fans quickly began filling the venue, the 19-year-old Porter Robinson took the stage and got bodies moving before 6:00. It has been awhile where I have seen a DJ where I knew so many tracks back to back. I remember first seeing Porter at Insomniac’s EDC in Las Vegas and he had the crowd raging at the Neon Garden Stage. He impeccably mixed Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Zedd, Avicii and Wolfgang Gartner tracks and needless to say the crowd was more than satisfied. It’s as almost Porter knew exactly what the crowd wanted to hear. Closing up his set, he dropped his infamous track “Say My Name” and the audience went completely bonkers and the venue’s club energy immediately rose when this track dropped. It’s hard to believe that this kid is just 19.

The energy level continued to rise when the all-too-famous banana suited fans approached the stage and everyone knew that Dada was about to be unleashed upon them. Dada Life went through most of their personal tracks including “Unleash the Dada” and as expected, pulled out their bananas and showered the front audience with some of that CHAM-PAG-NE. We have been to a good amount of Dada Life shows but never before have we seen them have a pillow fight on stage during MGMT’s “Kids” remix. Stefan and Olle then surprised us with a remix of Benassi’s “Satisfaction” and had the crowd raging until they both Rick Rolled the audience by playing “Never Gonna Give you Up.” The dynamic and energy the duo has, it makes it impossible to take your eyes off them and the dancing does not stop when they are on stage. Dada Life never disappoints.

The sun came down and the Philly DJ/Producer Diplo came up. Diplo brought his signature brand of music to the Home Depot Center let everyone unwind a bit with some dub-step such as a remix of Skrillex’s “Cinema” and even released his Skrillex collaboration track “Amplifier.”Hearing it live at a venue such as the Home Depot center was absolutely mind-blowing. Diplo definitely threw it down and the audience loved every second of it.

The much anticipated headliner of the night, Tiesto, took the stage and the whole stadium went wild and it’s pretty evident that roars could be heard from miles away. We never seen so many phones and cameras go up at the same time, the soccer arena was the perfect ambiance for what was known to be the biggest show on Tiesto’s tour and went off with a bang, literally. Tiesto started off with several of his originals and tied in some Oasis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Avicii, and even some Eurythmics! Right when Tiesto dropped “C’mon” the audiences’ energy was at its ultimate peak, everyone went completely insane. Throughout his set, fans got to experience fireworks, pyrotechnics, confetti, large LED Screens, and the most high tech lighting system. Combine all that with roaring 25k+ people — total sensory overload. The evening’s performance by Tiesto has left many people convinced that he IS a rock star of the digital age and is going to be very hard to top this event.
