We’ve lost track of how many times Diplo has appeared on the Coachella stage over the year, first as tour DJ forM.I.A. in 2006, and at least once with his own act, Major Lazer. Throw in at least one solo DJ set in 2008, and you’d think he’d be a pretty big fan of the annual festival. Apparently he’s a bigger fan of talking trash on Twitter, like he did yesterday when he tweeted:
“Maybe I’m just throwing shade but ‘Coachsmella’ looks pretty lame this year. You used to be a place to check out new bands/music.
“Besides Snoop and Dre that’s boss shit right there. Its like bootleg Ultra with a few bands that are safe.”
The tweet has been deleted, but what do you think? Is “Coachsmella” not cool anymore because Diplo said so?
